Hiring an International Postdoctoral Fellow
DYNAMITE PROJECT

Context: The Excellent Laboratory EMC3 is focusing its research on Materials for Energy and Clean Combustion. To achieve the highest international level, it holds a contest to hire high-level post-doctorate for innovating project entitled DYNAMITE. A major target of this call is the application by the candidate to European Research Council (ERC) starting grants.

Means: The LABEX EMC3 invites applications for a two-year post-doctorate position to start in December 2015. Selected candidates will be integrated in the laboratory GPM UMR CNRS 6634. He/she will benefit of the equipment and resources of the latter with additional resources of funding for the project (consumables and missions…).

Required Qualifications:

  • ·         Physic of surface / metallic surfaces
  • ·         Nano-objects physic
  • ·         Modelisation in physics: (Electric field modeling; Molecular dynamics Modeling; DFT ; atomic simulation ; Monte Carlo simulation)
  • ·         Field Emission Phenomena
  • ·         Data mining and data treatment 


Selection criteria: Candidates should demonstrate high skills in their disciplines with international recognition. Ideal candidate is an internationally experienced young researcher with a starting recognition of his/her peers. He/she will be supported to integrate of the national academic research system by competing at entry exams of public researcher during the two-year duration of the project. Similarly he/she will benefit of all advantages in order to apply for ERC grants.

Proceedings: Applicants should have a high level track record, a relevant Ph.D. degree and the ability to establish a high impact research program. Applicants will be required to complete a brief application form that includes the following: complete curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a research plan.
